Douglas A-20 Havoc / DB-7 Boston was a family of twin-engine aircraft which included attack aircraft, light bomber and night fighter variants and which served with US, British, Soviet and other air forces during WWII. Allied air forces designated the bomber variants Boston and the night fighter variants Havoc. The US Army Air Force accepted the aircraft known as the A-20 Havoc. There is a Tier 2 (US) and Tier 1 (UK) aircraft avilable in the US (20000 Lions) and British (400 Eagles) Trees.

The first production variants ordered by the RAF were the DB-7B, designated Boston Mk III; the same designation was given to the DB-73, previously ordered by France. These aircraft, mainly used as light bombers, were equipped with the same engines as the DB-7A and had larger fuel tanks which increased their range, a weak spot on the Boston Mk I / Mk II which the British wished to address.

A total of 780 Boston Mk III were ordered by Great Britain. However, a few were lost during transport and a large number were then sent to the Soviet Union.

In the game the A-20 is not considered a bomber rather a attacker. So in a game the A-20 only spawns in fighter spawn points and airfield.

HOW TO FLY

The A20-G is one of the most versitile aircraft in-game. It mounts 6 50.cal machine guns that are player usable, though they are often ineffective. The Havoc lacks a bombsite, meaning one must use the exterior bombsite it has. The Havoc's defensive machine guns are quite accurate, meaning a pilot does not need to take command of their defence. Quite possibly the best defence the Havoc has is its speed. The A-20G is incredibly fast in a dive, and an accurate bomber pilot can quickly sweep in, destroy their target and escape before fighters can intercept them.

If the A20-G is your Enemy:

-Attack the Havoc from the front, either above or below. Attacking from above is advised, as if one can knockout the gunner, the player is free to attack anywhere above the aircraft, allowing a player to knockout vital components such as the elevator and engines.

-If you cause a fire, It is most likely to burn by itself, though it is suggested to remain beyond the Havoc's gunners range and cease fire, only shooting it to secure the kill.

-Use Incendiary or High-Fragmentation Shells for better chances of destroying the aircraft.

Extra note, the MG's can be hard to use, don't go rushing in headlong as you soon will only be able to hit with 2-4 MG's. If you must charge in try and stagger your shots so all 6 machine guns hit, therefore making your fire more effective.
