The KV-2 is a tier 3 heavy tank.
Historical use: The KV-2 was heavy assault tank equiped with an M-10 152 mm howitzer. The KV-2 was produced at the same time as the KV-1. Due to the size of it’s turret and gun and it‘s large siloute ,the KV-2 was much slower KV-1. Those captured and used by the German Army were known as (Sturm)Panzerkampfwagen KV-II 754(r). It was built for the purpose of destroying bunkers and heavily fortified emplacemos. Very few were produced due to its combat ineffectiveness, mainly the decreased speed due to the weight of the new gun and turret. Due to an increase in turret weight from the expanded dimensions and a heavier gun, the turret traverse mechanism could work only turn the full 360 degrees on level ground.
In game use: The KV-2 huge derp gun can be utilized to one shot pretty much any tank is aimed right. This tank should be used as a second line tank due to it’s large reload. The KV-2 is very feared at it’s tier. The KV-2 has many cons. First, once you fire that gun the enemies will rush you and you will be defenseless for at least 40 seconds. Second, the armor is trash for the tier it’s in almost anything can penetrate it and with it’s huge Silhouette it is an easy target. It has a bad surviveability. Any shot to the turret will knock out the whole turret crew leaving you with an unbearable 2 minute reload. In my opinion if you want to one shot tanks, but want to be at a similair br go for the Is-1 or the T-34-85 (d-5t) which have a much faster reload, but similar post pen destruction.
