Design, Development, and HistoryEdit

A 1944 modification of the Tiger H1, the Tiger E features a new cupola, add on track armor to the lower front plate, increased turret traverse, a more powerful engine, and faster turret traverse. While still notoriously unreliable and prone to mechanical failures, the new changes did make the tank somewhat easier to maintain but still nowhere near an acceptable rate.

Pros and ConsEdit

ProsEdit

  • Thick armour
  • Good main gun
  • Can have APCR in ammo load out
  • Fast for a Heavy Tank
  • Fast reload for its stopping power
  • Excellent turret armor
  • Good reverse speed

ConsEdit

  • Flat Armour
  • Sides are lined with ammo racks
  • Low turret traverse speed

In-Game StrategyEdit

Due to its flat armor which makes it easier to frontally penetrate than a Panther, angling is a must in any brawling situation. Pointing either front corner of your tank directly at the enemy shooting at you is the most optimal angle. Brawling is ill advised in higher tier games however.

With the mobility, the Tiger very much can play like a medium tank such as a T-34-85 or M4A3 76 HVSS. It can easily perform off road and can provide a very nasty surprise for other flankers not expecting a heavy tank to match their mobility. Flanking is typically the best strategy on most maps that it is possible on when 6.3 or 6.7, and if flanking is not possible, a good hull down position can greatly increase your survivability.
